Abstract: Exploration of Erlian Basin and Jizhong Depression in the recent years indicates that the stratigraphic lithologic oil and gas reservoirs of oil-enriched sags in the highly mature exploration region still have great potential for exploration. It is the important exploration field for search of large-scale reserves. The new exploration conception should be established in exploration of the lithologic stratigraphic oil and gas reservoirs. As for the exploration principles, it is necessary to bring about five turns from positive structural belt to negative structural belt; from high position of structural belt to the lateral positions of structural belt; from structural belt to lithofacies belt, belt of slope, overlap belt and belt of erosion; from ring bottom land to bottom groove, and from the single oil and gas reservoir type to the multiple types. The technological methods of exploration include optimized assessment technology for the favorable belts of lithologic stratigraphic oil and gas reservoirs, technology for confirmation and assessment of lithologic stratigraphic traps, and assessment technology for preliminary exploration of lithologic stratigraphic oil reservoirs.
