Abstract: This article gives the practical cases in processing and interpretation of the data concerning foothill thrust belt and the data concerning the structures related to salt rock. Based on the existing technology, the efforts aremade for identification of gaps in order to come up with the conceptions for improvement. This article points out that invigoration of technological development comes from the continuous efforts for new conceptions. To accelerate technological progress and make breakthrough in exploration as early as possible, it is necessary to put into practice new conceptions on the basis of technological summarization and creation.
