Abstract: On the basis of analysis of seismic exploration history and extent in PetroChina exploration area in Bohai Bay Basin, it evaluated mainly the quality of 3D seismic data in the area. Combined with the geophysical characteristics and geological features in the key targets to be explored in Bohai Bay exploration area in the future, it is discussed that oil and gas exploration needs the suitable seismic exploration techniques, and then put forward that the suggestions will be considered for technique development of seismic exploration in Bohai Bay Basin in the future
