摘要： Petroleum exploration is an integrated program including knowledge of multiple branches of learning such as geology, geophysics, geochemistry, and various modem techniques such as machinery and electronics, etc., much more a systematic engineering aiming at discovering oil and gas resources and applying seismic, drilling, well-logging techniques, etc. to practise comprehensive exploration. The disciplinal development and the engineering practice are closely inter-related, supplementary to each other, and mutually promotive.
