Abstract: Two suites ofmajor hydrocarbon source rock were developed in the lower part of Lower Tertiary, and Carboniferous-Permian in Bohai Gulf Basin, enriching unproved oil and gas resource. There oil and gas reservoirs are various kinds of deeply buried hills. Gravity, magnetic and electricmethods in these areas can provide favorable geophysical condition, and the feasibility and effectiveness applied in the deep Buried hills has been confirmed by forward and inversion method and practices. The existing non-seismic data including gravity, magnetic and electric data acquired in 1960s and 1970s are on the scale of 1:100 thousand or 1:200 thousand with sparse survey net and low precision, which can not satisfy the purpose of the present target exploration.Modern advanced acquisition and interpretation techniquesmake it possible to clarify deep complex geological issues and to find sustainable reserves for development of petroleum industry. So it is necessary to conduct new round comprehensive geophysical exploration for deep formation and new fields
