Abstract: An efficient working schedule of the geological intendance for exploration well program has been established in the Shengli Oilfield which includes the engineering design, program implementation, well logging and well completion. Based on the author￡§experiences in the past 20 years this paper discusses that the geological intendance is a useful tool for quickening well-drilling, shortening well-drilling time, saving drilling investment and improving well-drilling effectiveness. The geological intendance can make a prediction for the subsurface geology to avoid drilling accident and non-efficient drilling, and to optimize coring. It can provide some suggestions of drilling engineering and make a report of the drilling program to the manager. As for collection of all useful data, identification of oil and gas shows, protection of oil reservoirs in the drilling, the geological intendance in exploration program has played a great role.Meanwhile, the authormakes suggestions on some technique improvement in the drilling.
