Abstract: Based on geochemical method, this paper establishes a geochemical criterion preliminarily to identify the oil and water layers of Huizhou 26-2 Oilfield and analyze the geochemical features of oil reservoirs in the oilfield. The Zhujiang and Zhuhai Formations of Huizhou 26-2 Oilfield have two stages of oil and gas charge generated by the hydrocarbon source rocks ofWenchang and Enping Formations. The former stage of crude oil charge generated by the source rocks ofWenchang Formation is exposed to biodegradation in middle and lower parts of Zhuhai Formation, while the latter stage of oil and gas charge is generated by the source rocks of Enping Formation. The biodegradation of the hydrocarbons in the reservoirs of Zhujiang Formation is not obvious. On the basis of analyzing the composition differences of reservoir hydrocarbons and the thermal evolution history of the source rocks in Huizhou-26 sag, it discusses the unsealing property of the main faults and the oil and gas migration direction around Huizhou 26-2 Oilfield.
